
On the weekend of 9-11 September, the 23rd Annual Meeting of Young Active Research in Endocrinology took place in Herrsching am Ammersee. At this meeting, Shamini Ramkumar Thirumalasetty won the Best Speaker Award. This means that she can also give a lecture at the DGE conference next year.
Shamini has been a PhD student in Prof. Angela Hübner’s group in Dresden for about a year. Her research focuses on molecular endocrinology, and as part of her project she is characterising the first CAH mouse model of its kind, which can be used to test future treatments and therapies relevant to CAH.
